We know how hard it is to recruit and retain experienced wheelchair therapists.
Silver Fern Therapy provides the only recruitment agency tailored specifically to wheelchair services. We only work with clinicians who have at least two years’ experience in wheelchair provision and ensure they have the skills and ability to perform the required work.
Most wheelchair services are not able to recruit on short term contracts during maternity and extended sick leave. This can cause frustration within your team, as well as for clients, who will have to wait longer as a result. In these situations, Silver Fern Therapy can provide short-term clinical expertise to help you and your team get your waitlist back under control. Our contracts run week by week, so once you’re back to full staff, or have your waitlist where you want it, you can wave us goodbye!
But we don’t only supply locums. We’re happy to recruit to permanent, fixed term, part time and full time vacancies as well.
If you have a vacancy, let us know via the form below and we’ll be in touch.
Are you an experienced wheelchair clinician?
If you have at least two years' experience working in wheelchair services, we want to hear from you. We work with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehab engineers and clinical scientists to find suitable placements. We receive permanent, fixed term, part time, full time and locum opportunities from all over the UK and are always on the lookout for qualified staff.

Access Form “John provided locum support whilst we were waiting for therapist vacancies to be filled. His clinical experience and product knowledge meant he was able to start assessing immediately. John assessed an average of six clients on each clinic day and provided comprehensive, written reports on each. I would be happy to use John’s services again and would recommend him to other services.
John also provided some clinical and product training for our team for active wheelchair users. He was able to describe and demonstrate how clinical presentation translates into a technical solution. John demonstrated the various adjustments and prescribing options available on active user wheelchairs and how they affect the function, pressure relief, posture and propulsion for the client.”
